Went from a speedy to 5 hours, Photoshop. The guys at the Epic forums like the Gears stuff, so hey, I guess I'll throw out some more. Made a mock up tease just for fun. ;) Savage Theron. If this gets popular, then maybe I'll do other ones later on.

That aside, that's a pretty nice little Locust, definitely hope to see more... But some other style experimentations would be pretty cool too =D

Ha ha no need to be sorry man, just suggesting it as a practice for exponential improvement possibilities =D

I don't mind the locust, but your style is based around dragging the elements out of the blackness (which technically is what we basically see in reality due to reflection of light =P), but if you'd try starting with more light, and maybe even make the shadows come out in other colors... As an example... See a face in the night with the moon giving a dim blue shadow over the shadows on the face, and an alternate light source giving a warm orange light.. Just play with light and shadows... And try use less blacks... Alternately you could use the color balance filter in the adjustment filters ;)
